Beauty...

And minutes before.....
This is on the way to Morrocco....I really love being here....

Carlos Baute

The concert was great!!!! it was an open air concert and I was with one of my collegues, her name is Nieves (which means snow...love it) at first, then I ended up with the librarian and her kids(who are my students)...
I loved the music really nice and the thing I loved the most about it was the fact that he put the flag of Venezuela up and he spoke alot about it....listening to the things he said made me miss Venezuela alot...so I got quite emotional...lol... I screamed everytime he put the flag up...and everyone turned around giving me strange looks....coz they would only scream when he was dancing or wateva....lol.....I´m patriotic...wat can I say...hehe!!

How cute can she get??

Tired...

It´s friday afternoon and im so tired of lessons, kids, the rain, and the solitude. Im feeling so moody, i just couldnt take any rubbish from the kids. If they are not chatting, they are doing homework for other lessons, if they are not doing that, then they are playing silly games...couldnt handle it today....cansada, super cansada.
Santi from the youth house, gave me a ticket to go to concert in la muralla(near my home). This is to see Carlos Baute and he is from Venezuela(never heard of him..hmm).
These tickets were free(6000) and were all given out in three days. He said if i wanted to go, he could get me one. So i´ll be going on my own to a concert, ill stand in a corner or at the back, where im safe, to listen to the music....dont need to see him (they told me all the girls are mad for him,the blonde with blue eyes crap, so im assuming that they are gonna be jumping about, like animals...lol...ill be safe at the back). The music is quite romantic so ill just enjoy listening to it...I know this probably sounds quite sad....but Im not used to concerts....but i love music...it´s tomora..

NO DISCIPLINE....

In Spanish schools and worst here in this part of Spain...for those of you who still dont know where im at....lol....Ceuta.
First day here was terrible...very scary the kids are like animals in the hallway....and when teachers are approaching, there´s none of the "miss is coming, miss is coming.." followed by making space and silence for them..(in london). No!..that does not exist here, there is no respect for the teachers here. they just push past you and shout as if your not there...I would think that maybe they do it with me around coz I look like a 15 year old(as many of you meanys tell me back in london), so they dont notice im actually a teacher but no, they do the same with the other teachers. quite sad really... I have witnessed the throwing of chairs in the playground(brats trying get our attention), girls slapping guys(visa versa), "what did you say about my mum?..", pulling eachothers hair...etc....the usual i guess...kids ehh!!...
A teacher has been telling me that the kids have not been coming to the other english lessons, and then they all come to the ones which i teach....lol....i think is sweet... i dont like to make lessons boring otherwise they just wont realise the beauty of learning a language.
I realise this is boring to read but aswell as keeping you guys updated, im trying to keep a record of my teaching and experiences here. As this will help me when doing my projects(uni work).....MWah...chao!!!

I didnt realise how much could come out of a lesson about Simpsons!!! the kids and I talked about so much stuff, and sumhow got into the fashion of kids(old) wearing dummies. I told em its fashion in london..for kids to walk around with their dummies....they laughed of course.
Well...thats why im here, to give em first hand info....lol....
awww I was in the hallway and some of the kids came up to me and asked "alanna, have we got u today?" and i tell em, "well if your in this classroom ..yes!" and they were like oooooooowwwwwwww(kiddish sound meaning Dammm)....I was touched to be honest...they really like me...lol prob coz the other teachers give grammar(the boring stuff) and i do fun activities.

14 year olds on scooters?

Scooters are like bikes here in Ceuta!! you can ride a scooter from the age of 14!...yes i checked it out with the police(i was just curious and little bit freaked out..)
The place is so tiny you can understand why its allowed. And no Ariana(my sis, nearly 14), you cant come and live here!!!! lol
I found out wat Hambugar is!!!! hahahaha..... they are actually trying to say Muebles!!!! (this means Furniture, these people want unwanted furniture and the idea is that i go to the window and say....here!! i got some have it)..lol...they can´t pronounce it properly. dont sound so exciting anymore...boooo..
It´s weird but i miss P.E now...coz I see the kids doing it in the playground and it looks fun...i hated it before and I was crap.

I´ve been a stranger...sorry!!

Well it´s been a busy busy week coz i´ve started teaching. I have 12 different classes ranging from 11-18 years of age. As most you know, i´m very shy person and I get nervous when doing presentations, I start shaking like a washing machine(the old ones..lol), and my breathing gets funny. But my first lesson was with year 9 and I was shocked with the way I handled it. my voice was so loud for starters, no shaking wat so ever, and everything came out naturally..it was great!!! Trust me, if you were in the lesson watching me, you would not believe it was me there. Im like a different person when i teach, I open up and I feel at ease. I think they like me coz I joke around and i make sure that they can relate to the work. All the lessons were the same...the teacher sat at the back of the class while i taught them. Im happy(for now..).
This week I walked to the border (morroccan) and i crossed it with my friend and then came back out, just for the fun of it...lol...nothing better to do i guess...
It was funny coz on your way out there is a separate queue for males and females...and the female queue was practically empty. But the male one looked like a prison, as if they were in a cage...lol...their faces were squashed against the fence...lol..glad i wasn´t with them.
this week i also went to the church to take piccys of my friend(land lady) who sings in a choir....coz this week was a st daniel week..
At the moment i´m in the school coz I have access to the internet here in the english office.
Listening to who´s dat girl, lalalalalalalalala.......
doing Simpsons with the kids next week...they lovin it really!!
