Monte Hacho

errr...cant remember wat day now....I went to this Mount Hacho, with a girl that I met in the internet cafe and it was amazing but took us ages to get there and it was very solitary. we had fresh bread and water before our trip..lol...back to basics...
we got to the top and it was amazing...breathtaking....but then...we asked the soldier how to get in to the fortress... and he said "you cant....you need special passes to see the prisoners" ...Prisoners? errrr...we only wanted to see the view of the other side of Ceuta!!! nice though....dont think i´ll go up again..by foot I mean....
I been meeting up with nice people....mainly collegues.

GALA

The dog I was telling you about..her name is Gala. she soooo sweet.
Apparently, the rock of gibraltar is completely hollow...anyone know that?? well it´s new to me...I might check it out sumtime.
It´s so hot here....yesterday I walked along the coast and it was so dead...there were some random people fishing....but it was beautiful.

EVERY DAY THE FLAG COMES DOWN...

At about 8:15pm the soldiers bring the flag down and theres loads of em with different instruments and you see them marhcing along the road and then they stop while the flag is being taen down and folded away. And every thursday is the special day where and they have sum sort of party(so I was told). It´s really nice to see, and it changes every thursday apparently. In the morning they put the flag back up again(too early for me...). Loads of people come there to watch this.
I think that snack I was talking about, it´s corn!! lol well thats what it says on the packet, but its 5 times the size of corn. Maybe it´s ceutian corn....hmm.. I´ll be bringing some to london.

GALA, THE DOG WITH GOOGLE EYEZ!

My new lanlord Manuela, has a dog with the biggest eyes....lol...i gotta put a piccy up as soon as i can...he so sweet and barks very loud for a tiny dog. So yes I found a permanant place to live! and its right next to the school hehe...
In this place im speaking a bit of french and arabic(I get by..lol..) as well as spanish and I got a few people lined up to teach english. I might check out the market soon...looks quite big. hmmmm really need to get used to the siesta time....but it really is annoying....I been drinkng alot of peach juice....melocotton.
its weird coz there´s a no smoking sign on the wall but then there´s a sign on the computer saying smoking only in moderation. What is moderation?....moderation for you might not be moderation for me...hmmm
ohhhhhh there it goes again......VENGA VENGA VENGA VENGA(woman behind me on her mobile)....arghhhhhhh!!!!!so annoying...but i´ll probably pick it up sonner or later....lol!
This guy at the internet plays wicked songs, he helped me find a cheap mobile. I need to get him to put the songs on my laptop while im surfing.

Been everywhere

I really have been everywhere!!! Hospital, police station, information centre, banks, schools, hostels, hotels, shops, port, estate agents, university....BLIMEYYYY!
This place really will be my local coz i just found out that this is the only cyber cafe in Ceuta! and today he opened late, he supposed to open at 5pm and he opened at 5.45pm...and apparently he makes a habit of it.....hmmm, I think i´m starting to blend in now...with the Ceutis....
and loads of people ask "you from Venezuela?" coz they recognise my accent.

TIENES FIJO???

Only been here two days and I´ve already had a taste of the new vocab....there´s "los morros"(muslims), "Fijo?"(home number? but literally meaning FIXED") and "Venga Vale!"(which is something like "OK" but to me its sounds like they are saying COME OK! COME OK! COME OK!....lol so weird!!
And everyones really impressed coz I seem to know the area better than them. I know all the alot of the street names etc..
.....lol...I was walking back from sum building and this man walking in front of me was shouting out "Hambuger...Hambuger!!!" every 5 seconds. Did he want a hamburger? or was he selling them? lol...I dunno...he probably had em stuffed in his back pack...
Or maybe this word means sumthing in Arabic, Anyone know?
I made a friend in the hotel restaurant/bar and they call her la chinita coz when she smiles her eyes stretch so much she looks chinese! went to her apartment and it´s real nice and modern.
In the afternoon I walked all the way(FAR) to the hospital to check for ads and took down loads of phone numbers....then ...lol...I walked all the way back down to my other Local(the informtion centre) and asked Santi the guy to ring all of them for me...we´ll seee..
Oooh, oooh and I discovered a new snack...its like nuts(one in particular that i like, when you bite it, it gives off this slight aroma coz theres air inside it) and dried stuff...lol...and they give you a bowl full whenever you order a drink...its great!

Hostales y Hoteles

Im so sad coz I spent most of the time wandering the streets trying to find the hostels....you have to go up flights of stairs to get to them and then they tell you "sorry no space"...i was getting so tired and sweaty walking around with my heavy suitcase and the laptop bag. i havent eaten either. I ended up going to a proper hotel..alot of money but i phoned mum from there and told her...i was so upset and tired. went to a few estate agents and asked they said they will contact me if anything comes up. i will go to a few more tomoro.
The hotel is decent and it has beutiful views but i really dont wanna be there....thats why im out here......in a cyber cafe...if i look outside i can see the sea its beautiful really...its wow!!! I have a feeling this is gonna be my local.

Da BIG Rock!!

Just stepped out of the plane, looked behind me and there it was...the BIG rock of Gibraltar. BIG ?? well its really not that massive...lol I mean, it´s big enough to be seen from Ceuta, but its wasn´t the BIG I was expecting...anyways im here now. arghhhhh this thing is so mean to me!!!! I cant load any photos I have taken...and its just gonna look boring now. Well i´ll have to go in to detail so that Ceuta can be imagined by all of you...sorry...lol.
